Please welcome Laura (aka Skinnyandsingle) as my latest “Featured Blogger” this week from the blog with the same name. If you are anything like me you will love how Laura sees humour in everyday lives situations, and you can a little more about her through her Q&As below

LaChouett: Probably a question you had a million times but, what is the inspiration behind your blog?

Skinnyandsingle: Back to why I started, I have a very boring job where I am not creative. Plus, I’m hoping to get my voice out into the universe so when I do publish something, people will already know me, and will (hopefully) be looking forward to it. Plus I’ve usually had a couple of drinks, and I’m pretty nutty.

LaChouett: How do you pick a subject you want to talk about and make fun of?

Skinnyandsingle: Sometimes it’s because I just watched the cutest guy throw up all over a patio, other times it’s because children are going by with a wagon. Toss in a few motorcycles, a friend who is a home wrecker, and bam… you’ve got yourself a blog.

LaChouett: Have you finally learned how to change a tyre?

Skinnyandsingle :No, but I did find the card for my auto club. Plus, I have a link to a useful youtube video that will certainly come in handy when I’m stranded.

LaChouett: One word to sum you up?

Skinnyandsingle: Random. It was someone else that said it and it was my highest compliment. (Other people may say tactless, which is also a compliment.)

LaChouett: What is your favourite book and are you planning to write one yourself?

Skinnyandsingle: I’d like to say my favourite book is a literary masterpiece such as “Hop on Pop” by Dr, Seuss, but instead I’ve read Stephen King’s “The Stand” about a hundred times. PS, he didn’t learn how to properly end a story.

And yes, I’d like to write one myself, along the lines of Erma Bombeck with words of wisdom mixed with insanity.
