So, how are you all doing folks?
If we were having coffee, I would tell you how nervous I am to write this post. But why, you might ask?
Well, for one thing, I am way out of my comfort zone here and second, have I already mentioned it was my first?! :). You see I am a book reviewer, so I always have material to work with, triggering a review piece. Right now, the only “book” I have is me and I guess the story is still being written so, let’s just start small.
2016 and those flipping “New Year Resolutions”!!
I have been racking my brain trying to come up with one that I could stick to but let’s face it I suck at it, so without being too specific, I decided to come up with ONE BIG ONE that covers all bases and it is:” Do better than 2015!”
What I love about “Do better than 2015” is that it can be applied to any area of my life, allows for flexibility, relapses if unfortunately there are to be some and an opportunity to dust myself off and try again so there! My ONE BIG ONE is my only one.
What’s your ONE BIG ONE?!
Well I guess it wasn’t so bad for a first time.

Big thank you to Diana at http://parttimemonster.com/ for encouraging me to take the plunge!!
Love your gingerbread man bathing in coffee! Yum!

That sounds like a great resolution to me. Mine was to try something new, I’ve a year to do it though.

Glad to meet you for the first time over coffee. It sounds like the perfect resolution and so flexible. I didn’t put a resolution this year as I know I break them but yours would be very hard not to do successfully so it would be a win all round.

Welcome! It’s great when someone new has coffee too! I hope that you’ll be around more often than just this once in 2016.
Let’s all do better than in 2015!

Hello 👋 and thank you for the warm welcome 😊! I am hoping to ‘Have coffee ☕’ at least a good couple of times a month. Small but steady steps I guess.

I just started a job a few weeks ago. I talked to someone for advice about setting goals and objectives for 2016, since I’ve worked with a put-out-fires approach for several years.
The fellow coaching me would’ve given your 2016 resolution a huge thumbs up. “Write it in general enough terms that you can succeed twenty different ways!” I’m smiling thinking of his words and seeing them exemplified. I’ve got more food for thought now, as I figure what I’ll mark down in the next few weeks.
Happy new year!

Welcome to the Weekend Coffee Share! You did a great job–especially with your resolution. I didn’t do resolutions this year (I rarely do), but yours is so darned good I might just adopt it for myself! It would be fun to look back at the end of 2016 and see if I managed it!

You’re very welcome to use it, I suppose it is one of those resolution to share around so please feel free. I will definitely look back on it too 😊.

Welcome! Nice to meet you and have you join in! I love your resolution! I’ve been able to keep the same one for a couple of years now…don’t make any resolutions! I don’t need the added stress they cause. 😊

I can understand that. We all need a stress free life 😁.

Don’t ever be nervous about the weekend coffee share! It’s so informal and a great way to meet other bloggers (and on that note, pleased to meet you).
Good luck with your ONE BIG ONE. My goals for the New Year are to work on personal growth to become more confident and independent, etc., etc. There’s a lot going on there but I’m gonna try my best.

Welcome!
Glad to see you around the coffee share.
That seems like the kind of resolution that I generally make. I tend to go for a theme to the year….This year, it’s all about being more peaceful than last year.

More peaceful than 2015! That’s definitely part of my ONE BIG ONE lol:). Thanks for having me by the way.

Last week was my first Coffee Share, too – but I’ll have another, tomorrow!
I don’t do resolutions. Instead, I have goals that I list by year, quarter, and month. I tend to look at them as a buffet that will change organically as I go along and keep on learning and evolving.
This year, my word is Presence.
Lovely to meet you! You did fine! =)
