Book Review: Pilot Jane And The Runaway Plane

Jane and Rose are a one of a kind Pilot and Plane team, they go to many places together and have great adventures. But one day after too much fuel cake Rose is bedridden with plane flu and Pilot Jane has no choice but to partner out with Mighty Mitch the jet. But how will they get along while taking The Queen safely to a party, as it seems that Mighty Mitch doubts any girls flying abilities?

This lovely little picture book is an uplifting one, and nicely introduce young readers to a world of possibilities by showing a young girl as a pilot, a role that would be traditionally awarded to boys. It also showcases the importance of team work and adaptation to changing circumstances, and learning how to put differences aside to focus on the success of a common goal.

All in all, a tiny book packed with a lot of power.
