My stop on the “Perfectly Norman” tour with a review

What a perfect little picture book!

Don’t forget to up on the other stops!

Children will know very early if they feel “different” and will pick up that they don’t fit the norm if there is such a thing. The message from “Perfectly Norman” is that every child should be perfectly themselves and that sometimes it just means that they might just grow a pair of wings.

Added to this very simple message is a set of perfectly designed illustrations supporting the tale. That one yellow coat representing so many conflicting emotions that we all have felt at some point in our lives, whether it be the heaviness of a hidden secret, shame, fear of being outed or of never being accepted by our peers should they find out. Us adults already have a hard time with this so can you imagine what it’s like for a child?

Let’s make it easier then, and help them be free of that coat.
