The Dewdrop – NaPoWriMo

Reblogging because it’s cute and short! One drop….

Life is too short to drink bad wine

Here is a tricky structure – The San San.

It has to rhyme according to the following order. It should also try to reiterate 3 of the items/themes of the first 3 lines. Here is my attempt for day 14 of NaPoWriMo. Have a go! It is a great brain workout.

Nasturtium These nasturtium leaves in my garden caught the sunlight just after a shower filled them with cabochon gems.

From the drooping leaf above

Swift fell the dewdrop down

Into the pond below

Drawn, not from any sense of love

The dewdrop fell to drown

But the pond did not forget

And it let the forest know

With ripples of regret.
