So, this review is about the second instalment of The Selection series by Kiera Cass.
I am always a bit wary with sequels so I suppose I had higher expectations for this one.
Just like the first novel, this piece was an entertaining read.
America, the main character is confronted with the reality of what it would mean to be The One and has to decide whether the unpleasantness of the role outweighs the benefits.
Throughout this book I got quite annoyed with her reluctance to decide between Aspen and Maxon and was reminded that indeed this is typical of any sixteen year old girls. It also indicated that I was really drawn into the story and just kept on turning the pages.
I have decided to not read the third instalment yet (although unsure how long I can resist)…since it will mean the end of this arc in the series which I quite enjoy.
If you have read The Selection, you will enjoy this instalment so read on and enjoy!!

By all means give it a go. They are quick reads. I still need to read the 3rd book.
