Hi everyone!!
It has been a while since I have written a post, but sometimes when life stirs you in a different direction, you just had to take that call!
Anyway, today what I have for you is my usual monthly reading wrap up…sorry it is a little late, but it is here!!!
June was probably a slow reading month as I sadly managed to go through 3 booksL, which is a little low on numbers for me so hopefully I will catch up in July. And before I go through the list I would like to talk to you about my review of “Truly, Madly, Greekly” by Mandy Baggot which I read in May but reviewed for a June blog tour! I am not a super fan of contemporary romance so this novel would not have been a “absolute must read” for me. However, I was glad I read it and I am leaning towards that genre a little more slowly. You can find out right here why I gave it a 4* rating.
And now, let’s get on my first June read with “The Mystery of the Clockwork Sparrow” by debut author Katherine Woodfine.  I don’t think I can rave enough about this book and for a children’s novel, it is an absolute little gem!! I not only reviewed it and gave it a 5*, but I was so impressed that I had to track down the author to interview her. I really hope my review and if it is not enough my author interview will be enough to convince you to pick up and give it a chance.
My second read was “Half the World Away” by Cath Staincliffe and was definitely a change of pace compared to my first read. This book was the abduction of a young woman abroad, very tough but excellent read. Cath Staincliffe is an author that I would definitely love to interview as well, but until then enjoy my review.
My last June read is what I call my little cherry on the top!!
“Return to Bluebell Hill” by debut author Rebecca Pugh aka fellow blogger @beccasboooks has been long awaited by the book blogging community ever since UK Carina signed Rebecca in January 2015. Rebecca’s contemporary romance did not disappoint and I urge every romance lover to pick it up. You can find my thoughts on it here.
And that wraps it up!!!
I really hope you find something you like in here and if you have read one of the books let me know what your thoughts were, I would love to hear from you.
